The Newport Film Salon (NFS) is a non-profit organization created to help produce independent films in and around Newport, RI. The idea is to establish a common ground where those with diverse skills and interests can meet, network and collaborate on the art of filmmaking.
 

NFS hopes to strengthen this mission by offering meetings and workshops throughout the year to discuss and critique film as a process and as an art form. NFS will be hosting professionals in the industry to educate our members.

The goal of NFS is to educate, encourage and promote new and emerging talent in Newport, RI. It is our mission to bring together those who are interested in making independent films. We hope to provide a common ground where those who are interested can enjoy, contribute and benefit from the many joys of filmmaking.
